Despite the myths, Jimmy Page actually did lot of his studio work with his Telecaster. Sure, he was seen most of time using Les Paul but, you can hear lot of his handy work with telecaster and he had device called "B string bender" installed to get some very unusual sounds. You can hear this example in Honeydripper's song Sea of love.. also, while he was a session muso, he did some work with Van Morrison and 'them" and you can hear it in song Baby Please don't go.. I wouldn't think you can actually recreate his sound but, it will come very close with strat providing you choose right pickup combo.. just experiment with it and see what comes out of it..
There is one important thing I should also mention. Jimmy's Les Paul is heavily modified in a way that he has lot of electronic gizmo to split humbuckers and have ability to make pickups phase in out at his leisure so, its Les Paul but, there is lot of unfamiliar sound that is achieved from this wonderful guitar..

Gambit is right
Jimmy's 1st 4 albums with Led Zep were all done with a Tele,
which just shows, that the tone comes from the player more than the guitar.
ZZ Top is another good example, Billy plays Fenders, Gibsons, Gretsch,
yet he always sounds like Billy

yes, it's possible. for the first couple led zeppelin albums page used a tele and a danelectro. later on he used the les paul more. you can hear the difference if you listen closely....black dog is the gibson, stairway to heaven is the tele. the danelectro he used mostly for slide. play around with the amp settings, and the guitar tone and volume controls until you get a tone you like. of course, it doesn't hurt to have a tonebender fuzz and a vintage vox ac30 to play through.....

Well sure. Change your amp e.q, and use the bridge pickup. I mean if page played a tele, u can surely get a tone on a strat. Also, tone is more in your fingers, and not the guitar.
