Put it into as many pieces as you can(without breaking it) then put it on top of your boiler/heater/etc
give it a good few hours and it should work

I'm assuming by source you mean a button which changes the video input/source? In which case all universal remotes should have an equivalent button (although it may be called something else such as 'input' or 'A/V'). A new (basic) universal remote costs about $20-30.

Take it apart and clean it they only have 3 parts so it won't be hard to put back together , it is very simple electronics so i imagine a little corrosion caused by the water is connecting 2 terminals preventing it from working . Just make sure none of the silver dots are connected by anything they shouldn't be and it should work again .

Its like a phone. When you drop it in water it'll stop working because the water has gone into the circuits that allow to work. So yeah you need a new one.
The source button might be on the side of the tv. Check there.

Get it apart fast. Do it now. The quicker the better. Dry the parts and reassemble tomorrow. Good Luck. Others say you can stuff it in a box of dried rice for a couple of days. The rice supposedly sucks the water right out of it.

Leave the batteries out and let it dry out for at least a couple of days with its cover off. It will probably come back to life. In the meantime, read or go out to the movies.

Put it in the freezer a few days. If that don't fix it, you need another. Buy a Universal remote. I've heard that doing the freezer treatment for cell phones sometimes works also.

You need to let it dry out for at least 3 days plus, first take out the batteries, after 3 days try it with new batteried
