What should I wear to Medieval times?

I want to wear shorts, an American Eagle T-Shirt and an American Eagle Sweatshirt. My dads been arguing that that is ridiculous and I should wear jeans and a polo arguing that its a dinner theatre and it should be formal (keep in mind its 35 degrees F outside) I wear shorts year round and wore shorts in the snow yesterday for two hours and was fine. What do u say?

    go 4 it medieval times isnt that fancy i went when i was in like 3rd grade and i wore jeans.
