Please let me know problems you can foresee if the world used a resource based economy instead of capitalism?

Hello Patty,
I have two major concerns with a resource based economy (granted these concerns are pale in comparison to the wars and poverty caused by capitalism).
My first concern is that individual culture may become much more globalized. That is, the cultures of the world will slowly start looking more and more like just one culture. Of course, if care is taken, this can be prevented.
My second concern is the difficulty associated with the transition in to a resource-based economy. I know capitalist will not easily give up "their" property. Such a transition might be a little violent... but this is actually hard to tell.

The only problems I can foresee are those relating to the people who seek control and those who are so based in money that they cannot find another path.
For example: The CEO of a major bank would lose everything and would not be intelligent enough to switch to a resource that he can market in order to survive.
The dictator who would be overrun by the very people he tried to squash... Those who are greedy and need more of whatever they think will fill their greedy hearts. There is only so much water, earth, heat, cold and food that one person can amass before they can no longer live amongst it.
I really enjoyed watching the zeitgeist movies and they deal with specifically this. The first zeitgeist movie explains the conspiracy to control the world using money while the second zeitgeist movie deals with a resource based economy.

it is only when resources is used as control - mismanaged that there is a problem.
capitalism is based on illusion
resources on the other hand is real - just don't mix it with money or it will be destroyed much like it is being now as we speak.
it is the word ECONOMY that speaks of destruction under any system. we need things to live and be happy - destruction/control does not speak of freedom/joy/happiness/health
why do people think everything needs to be control instead of used as needed - not as greeded.

It perplexes me what humanity will do with its free time in a resource based economy but this problem comes about because it's out of our frame of reference currently.
