It doesn't matter whether you have or haven't had pain, the tissue hasn't had time to adjust to the piercing. There's three stages your body goes through to accept the piercing and it's vital it goes through all three. If you remove it now, you have a chance of the piercing healing up over the earring and a higher risk of infection. 6 weeks isn't too long, and even then sometimes it wasn't enough time. Please keep it in for 6 weeks.

No. Leave them in until the time the piercer suggested you take them out. Reason being, the holes can become infected and close up. If this happens, it can leave GROSS affects.. I've seen girls that did this and their "holes" turned into these BIG gross balls of scar tissue and skin that just hang from their ears... bleh! SO NASTY!!!!
Here's one way to look at it... Would you rather just stick with the stupid stud the piercer gave you for 20 more days, OR risk the chance of infection and LIFE LONG description i told you above (unless cosmetically treated)?

No, it's too early.
Ears need 6 weeks to heal before changing the jewelry
If changed too early, it can get irritated, infected, or even reject.

if you do it really fast and wash it with alcohol you should be ok...but i would wait a little bit longer if you can :] Good Luck !
