Based on Daytona, who will make up the 2010 Chasers?

As of right now, here's the Top Twelve (in order):

McMurray, Junior, Biffle, Bowyer, Harvick, Reutimann, Truex, Kenseth, Montoya, Edwards, Martin and Burton.

I would take at least four drivers out and replace them with Johnson, Kyle Busch, Hamlin and Stewart.

i think mcmurray,jr,biffle, bowyer, harvick, kenseth, montoya, edwards, johnson, jeff gordon, smoke and martin will be in the chase this year.i don't think hamlin will make it because of his injury.the final spots will probably between bowyer, kyle, kurt and biffle.it would be cool if kyle busch will miss it again, but nascar will need to have a toyota in the chase though.

You can't realistically make a prediction for the Chase based solely on one race, the Daytona 500. Truex and McMurray are with new teams this year. I don't see those 2 making the Chase--the top 15 or 20, but not the Chase. I think Reutimann and Montoya won't make it either.

So you don't think Jeff Gordon will be in the Chase this year, huh? And, quite frankly, I hope Johnson won't make it. He's really stinking up the Chase and NASCAR.

That's nowhere near possbile to answer only having raced one race. The teams with the good cars and what not will start to show with more races like California next weekend. Anybody with a decent setup can do fairly well at a track like Daytona as long as they stear clear of the wrecks and bad luck with blown tires and such. This question may be a bit more loigical to ask 6 or so races into the season. But I do think there might be some surpises this year as far as not so poular drivers making it into the chase.

It's too early to tell. Daytona's typically not a great representation of who is strong the rest of the season. The last two winners of the 500 missed the Chase (Ryan Newman in 2008 and Matt Kenseth in 2009, plus Gordon in 2005), and I'm not feeling fantastic about Jamie's chances of making it. He's a great restrictor plate driver but what else has he done?

Jr. will make the Chase this year but also so will Jamie Mac. For the most part I think the top 12 will be like last year's, but Truex will also get in.

its way way to early to tell, maybe after 15 races this will be a valid question but not now

You can't base the chase on one race.
