To anybody who works with Lightroom on their computer?
I've heard that Lightroom works very slowly, and needs a lot of....RAM? Disc Space? quad-core?
I'm buying a new computer and want to use it for Lightroom. What are the basic specs a computer needs to have so Lightroom will work efficiently?

lightroom does not require much power from your computer. The program itself is about 500 mb. even my crappy desktop I bought in '00 runs it fine and its processing speed in 1.6 ghz single core. you're not running some sort of hi-tech game. you don't need more than 1 gb of ram. 1 gb is plenty (unless of course you're running vista).
