Do I have to jailbreak my iPhone to be able to change my message/email/alarm alerts?

I'm on a Mac:

Apparently all I need to do

is to go into the /System/Library/Audio/UISounds folder,

and add my own tune by replacing the name and then the extension to .caf etc

But I just don't have an "Audio/UISounds" folder?

Is this because my iPhone isn't jailbroken?

Is there another way of doing it without jailbreaking?

Thanks :)

Yes it needs jailbreaking and you need to install WinCP onto your computer so you can browse the phones system files.

You will also need to change the Root password as once jailbroke ANYONE can access your phone.
