As for serum, I like a spray by Tre Semme, Heat Tamer. Works well for straightening and as a shine product.

It's a 10, comes in a purple bottle, it is a m a z i n g. Its in a spray bottle, but the actual product is very thick, much more of a serum. I've got wavy thick hair and it keeps it straight and frizz free, even in rain. I get for $18 at a salon in town but here is their website ( http://www.itsa10haircare.com/ )

Make up would be smashbox, tarte, and urban decay. I buy everything at Sephora, they are so helpful at finding exactly what you need. And not to sound snooty, but I really appreciate that it is all upper end cosmetics. I hate going into Ulta and seeing a $40 dollar foundation beside a $8 dollar foundations, it makes me feel silly for spending the money, even though I know how much better quality it is. And I really think Sephora brand make up is miles ahead of Ulta brand, I just picked up their spring give away tote full of full sizes of the new spring colors and oh man, what crap in a bag, it smells cheap, feels cheap, and has no pigmentation. I feel dumb for spending $15 to get it :( But you live and you learn!

TIGI catwalk styling serum or TIGI bedhead shine serum. My fav makeup brands are MAC and Urban Decay. You can get MAC from a MAC strore or counter, UD from ulta or sephora, and both can be bought from their websites.(;
