I don't make desserts so I always opt for a casserole. I have made some really awesome casseroles in the last year. I love this taco macaroni but would recommend many more casserole recipes from this website. They have all been good. Here's the taco macaroni link.

Macaroni and cheese. Yum. For the sauce, make a roux, add milk and cheese and a liiiiittle cayenne. Boil your pasta, mix into the sauce. Put in a casserole dish and top with a little more cheese and buttery bread crumbs or crushed cornflakes and bake. Can add any veggies you want, or tunafish, or chicken too. And everybody loves mac'n'cheese.

I never get to make dessert, the church ladies outdo me on pie every time...

Being 'somewhat' Catholic, I was always taught that the brides were the Nuns in the Church. However, I was also told that the Church itself was His bride. As many point out today, there seem to be contradictions in some areas. :) As you may know, few Jews abstain from marriage. As they point out, G-d did command us to be fruitful and multiply. Christians have openly defied this commandment, since the Church was founded and the Priests were barred from marriage. It seems that venting their sexual energies on children is more acceptable to G-d than the beings He created for man in the first place. (Sarcasm, and concern over the 'rules' started by others, not Christ). I recall, years ago, reading a passage that said that one of the apostles said that no one would enter the Kingdom of Heaven who was not chaste, or a virgin. While this applied to us, I do not think it was intended to apply to ALL christians, or even the priesthood. Remember, many Holy Fathers changed the rules as they went along, and not for all of the right reasons.

Okay. This may sound horrible, but it happens to be one of the most requested at my holiday parties. Trust me you will get raves on this one.

    Tomato Sour Cream Casserole

    1 medium white onion, chopped

    2 T. vegetable oil

    1 1-lb 12 oz can diced tomatoes

1 pkg. "Sloppy Joe" seasoning mix

1 4oz can diced green chilies, (ortega)

1 5 1/2 oz. bag of Fritos, slightly crushed

    3/4 lb. jack cheese, grated

    1 c. sour cream

    1/2 c. cheddar cheese, grated

Saute onion in oil; add tomatoes, seasoning mix and green chilies. Simmer, uncovered, 10 to 15 minutes. In a greased, deep 2 qt. casserole, layer ingredients in the following order: sauce, crushed Fritos, Jack cheese, sauce, Jack cheese. Spread sour cream on top. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Sprinkle Cheddar on top; and bake 10 minutes longer.

HISTORY of recipe: Daisy Doolin, mother of Elmer Doolin (the man who invented Fritos), came up with this recipe. She made it with Fritos, however, some people now make it with Doritos. Great dish and very economical. Good Luck:)

Fry onions put on bottom of casserole dish, seasoned chops cooked until golden brown place on top of onions, then pour over can tomato soup (if soup is condensed add about inch water in can) top of chops. Cook in moderate oven for about an 1 hour (test and see if chops are cooked) nice served with mashed potato or salad. vanilla slice or a jelly(jello) cheesecake for desert (raspberry of course), serve with cream or by it self.

i would make a huge amount of mac n cheese! cook 2 boxes of pasta. as that is cooking dice two blocks of Velveeta cheese. put that in a microwaveable bowl. add milk and a little butter. put it in the microwave for 2 mins and 30 seconds. then take it out and stir well. then put it back in the micro wave for 2 mins. drain your pasta and put it into a casserole dish. once the cheese mixture is done stir until it is all melted. pour over pasta then stir it so all the pasta is covered with cheese! ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
