How old was your baby when she/he sat up by themselves?
my baby is just starting to sit up a lil bit by herself without support she is 5 months. How old was your baby?

if i put him in the position (like he didnt actually pull himself up to sit) he could sit there steady for a good long while when he was about 3.5 months. i posted a question about it here and got many responses like the first one who answered you...talking about it was impossible...but its not.

he is starting to pull himself up to sit now and he will be 5 months on the 24th.

Sitting without support means they sit unaided for long periods of time and can prevent themselves from falling or toppling over. It's not sitting by themselves if you put them into position and they take a little while to fall over. My daughter could sit by 7- 8mths.

My son was at least 7 months before he could get himself up into the sitting position unaided.
He could sit up at 6 months old with our assistance, but it was much later than he was able to do it himself.
