How do you get Yahoo Answers to delete your answer account if you no longer want to participate.?
I do not want to get rid of my yahoo email, I just no longer want to put up with having to defend my answers. I have answered for many years with no issues and now it seems that some people like to report answers and I have defended all of them and only have had one removed because it asked another question to help clarify what the original asker wanted to know. I am tired of it and have asked in many of my appeals to have my points remove as I will no longer participate.
Can anyone help....Yahoo answer team, can you make this happen. I do not want to see any more emails from Yahoo Answers.

What you can do is set your profile to private, including your network, disallow fans, remove all of your contacts, disallow email and IM-- change your avatar to the gray smiley face-- remove your nickname and delete open questions. Do not go to the answers site at all and after 4 months yahoo will close your answers account. All your resolved questions and answers will remain on the site as they belong to yahoo..

I feel the same way that you do, I have exhausted myself for defending some of my answers with yahoo. I answered the following question: If you believe in God place a star.I added 4 stars, and my answers was removed by Yahoo and 10 points was taken away from me. I wrote Yahoo, and they would not agree with me. Then yesterday a nude picture of a Guy was shown. I wrote Yahoo, and that was not removed. Something is really wrong and unfair,.

The Yahoo Answers Account can't be closed without closing your entire Yahoo ID. Even if you do your questions and answers remain. The best you can do is to go to "my profile" and then "edit my info". Remove the avatar, change the nickname to something else, remove any comments, and block all communication and viewing of your Q&A in the profile.

No,as quickly as a query has been resolved you are able to no longer delete it, it belongs to Yahoo continually. After a definite volume of time in case you do no longer use your account it immediately gets deleted.
