Baby sleeps with a blanket?
I worry about SIDS, but also worry about my baby not being warm enough, I put her in warm pajamas and a light blanket b/c its very cold where we live and we have drafty windows. Am I wrong to put the light blanket on her? she is almost 4 mos old
and she is too long for the sleeper the hospital gave us>

My baby sleeps with a blanket too.. he sleeps better with it.. likes to twiddle it between his fingers. at 4 months old, he's not gonna suffocate under it.

Everyone has different opinions but I always covered my babies with a light blanket. A light receiving blanket isn't going to smother a baby. By 4 months they will be rolling around and moving on their own around in the crib anyway so she probably wont keep the blanket on.

I would get a sleep sack or wearable blanket to put on her (over her warm PJ's), instead of the light blanket, since blankets can be dangerous, and can cause SIDS.
The link below has many different kinds.
Hope this helps and good luck, :D

I put my daughter in light pj's or a onesie if it isn't too cold and then a 'sleepsack'. It's long sleeved and closed in at the bottom so she doesn't have to have a blanket. My daughter is very long for her age and still work for her!
My daughter always gets the blanket up over her face and gets mad or kicks it off so the sleepsack works better for us. I bought mine and walmart, they are long sleeved ones. All of the one's i find online are sleeveless though.

Your just being a good mommy. as long as you dress her warm for bed a light blanket is okay and just bring it up to the middle of her tummy and cover your windows if there is a draft

if you a worried about it how about you ease your stress go to a baby shop and buy a baby sleep wrap or baby cocoon, these both wrap the baby up keeping their arms and legs secure and still, keep baby warm, and there is no chance of it smothering the baby.
here are some sites with similar things.
