What's with Mancuso's tiara?

Is she some sort of princess? Who wears a tiara to begin with? Furthermore, she won SILVER! Was that some snub to Lindsey Vonn? Maybe Vonn should get a crown. I just don't get it.

I looked into this and couldn't find anything.

She wore it in 2006, it was kind of just her thing. She wore it before she won gold, too, it was just a luck charm, and something fun to wear, to stand out from the crowd etc. And she won gold in that Olympics too, so she kept the good luck charm around. Has nothing to do with Lindsey or anything else.

"After her coach gave her a plastic tiara as a good-luck token in 2005, she wore it over her racing helmet during several slalom races."

She IS a princess. At least in her own mind. As for her and Lindsey, it's pretty obvious they aren't friends. At least she doesn't wear those stupid ears like Resi Steigler does. Come on, it's not Halloween in your kindergarten classroom, it's international competition!

Source(s): I'm still super stoked she got silver.

She sells lingerie under a slogan of "kiss my tiara". It is all marketing.
