Ah...but we are all too busy clinging to the superficial trappings of our respective ideologies, and hammering each other, to do the obvious thing to correct our course.

    Let me explain :

All BS aside, the Teabaggers (the people, not the corporate underpinnings) had the right idea when they thought they were striking out against the system.

They lack however the expertise to navigate the treacherous waters of rebellion (they are after all conformists). They instead fell in lockstep behind the leader that the "man" stealthily provided, only to find out today that they had been herded right back into the same old GOP with a new coat of paint.

Now they are disillusioned and feel that their Tea party is broken. It isn't really.

What they wanted is an Independent voice... free from two party rule... right?

What they fail to realize is that no self respecting liberal is against that. Okay, we give them a hard time, but it's funny to watch "conservatives rebel".

But liberals have been trying to run third parties longer than conservatives have even considered it "not subversive".

So, conservative and liberals agree that we would like choices other than D&R.

The trick is to get them on the ballots in enough states to make a difference.

And... since it is an undeniable "states right", it must be done on a state by state basis.

Okay, granted, that sounds like a major undertaking...but it isn't.

In reality, it can be put back on track with two basic steps.

    1) Step one is that everyone email their local news (TV, Radio, Papers) asking what it takes in your state to make sure Independents can get a fair shake on the ballot. If even a moderate amount of mail hits different sources it will start a buzz. Buzz to a reporter = story. Story = ask questions, get answers (they do the leg-work).

    2) At the same time e-mail state legislators and governors to let them know the heat is on.

It won't be long till reporters, politicians, and opinion polls collide and something gets done.

Although neither Democrats nor Republicans want Independents on the ballot, what individual candidates will want less, is to say no, when their opponent is saying yes.

You are precisely the proper age and within the proper predicament to begin your household. If you foolishly wait till your 30's, it's incredibly most likely that you are going to no longer be in a position to get pregnant. This is a rough factor to mention however your mother has certainly been brainwashed with feminist nonsense. Women have a organic shelf existence. Your reproductive top is age 18. It remains lovely close its max till age 25 (many cultures don't forget a girl with out a little one at this age to be a spinster). It drops off markedly among a long time 25 and 30. Between a long time 30 and 35 you'll be able to nonetheless get pregnant nevertheless it would possibly not be handy. Between 35 and forty, so much females lose the capacity to have a little one. When feminists say wait till past due in existence to have a little one, what they imply is, would not have a little one. Since that implies your existence will well-nigh quantity to not anything, that's a tragic role to be in. Don't think them. There are generally alot of matters you must forget about your mom approximately. Focus for your husband and household. Be GOOD to them. Almost not anything else issues in existence. Don't get distracted. Don't be fooled into nonsense whilst you permit the primary stuff get all gnarly. Understand that there are forces on the earth looking to trick you and your husband (and later your youngsters) into doing matters which might be very dangerous for you. The retailers for those forces frequently are not even conscious of what they're doing. They imply good however do nice damage. You ought to get used to ignoring them and doing what's proper.

    No.

Until we've reached so high a threshold of disgust with these powerful factions (neither of which existed - much less, contributed to - the language of the Constitution); until we swallow that huge pill of accepting a hard truth - that until non-republican and non-democrat candidates for all offices are deemed unelectable - ... until then? There is no hope for change.

BTW: I've always heard that quote just as you worded it... until recently. I read that Einstein, feeling - fed up with scientists, universities, organizations and even entire nations for repeating experiments that had been done to death - deemed them not only stupid but insane.

I'm not sure if the claim is accurate but it sure fits Uncle Albert.

The quote I recently read: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting the same results"

If true, the quote would refer to people who are so easily entertained that they stick with the status quo... because, though the outcome never changes ... they're still fascinated by the process that leads to those same results. Again, I don't know if Einstein was actually misquoted or if the claim has merit. But it kinda makes sense.

Your question is right in it's premise. The problems we have now are a culmination of our own demands on government and our voting habits. We have for decades asked and demanded that the government intercede in matters best left to ourselves. We have repeatedly voted politicians in term after term, some for nearly a lifetime. We have allowed them to grow the bureaucracy so that our demands could be met. Now with a government that is so expensive that we can no longer afford the cost, we are broken and hurting. We must not look to government for all our solutions, but to ourselves. We must take care of our own and not the government. Yes, our way of life must change if we are to survive as a nation. We must reduce the size back to the Constitutional franchise for government. Taxation, regulation and spending have decimated our country, time to put an end to it or our country of free men will be a footnote in history.

  • I changed my way of life, attitude and thinking in 2000. I stopped living beyond my means. 10 years now. When will my government catch up with me? Until they are forced to balance the Federal Budget, it will never happen.

I recommend that you give us some of your suggestions how you say that we are supposed to change our way of life, attitude and way of living.

I hope that your recommendations are a change for the better and not a change for the worse.

Change for the worse is not something that I recommend.

(EDIT) Thank you Iceman, it is an honor to be on here, Sir.

  • I don't think we will or it would take a real disaster for us to do so -- something close to the great depression -- most of the problem is the media -- if you can't get the real story your never going to convince the number of Americans it takes to rally in the streets and demand change -- the media divides us and soothes us and allows the real players to get away with the loot

That is the definition of insanity, but it works well for me. The GOP pays me well to blackmail, and extort Democratic members of congress. I have the best assassins and bounty hunters at my disposal.

Your pathetic Liberal Movement will be swallowed by the might of the GOP.
