To Kill a Mockingbird, questions.?

1. Given Miss Fisher's first activity with the first graders,(Reading about the cat family), what is ironic about her reprimand to Scout:"Let's not let our imaginations run away with us, dear"?

2.What do the "errors" Scout commits the first day have in common with one another? What does this tell you about Scout's first six years of life?

Because it's not an easy book, I'll give you some hints - but you do the rest.

    1. Can cats really talk and behave as a human family, which was what Miss Fisher was reading about? Obviously not, but Scout and her classmates were only six, so they accepted it. Think about it.

    2. Scout's "mistakes": She admits that she knows how to read and tries to explain the reason Walter Cunningham won't take her money to Miss Fisher. What does it sound like she's getting into trouble for?

If you can answer these, I'll edit and let you know whether or not I think you're on the right track. :)
