Why women spend more on their clothing and beauty ?

Clothing and beauty are what sets a womans status to some degree. With men it's more complicated.

Personally clothes for me are personal expression. Where you shop and your style should represent who you are. If you spend more on clothing and beauty you probably are from a wealthier class and want to show that. Many people like certain designers because of their feel. For many women higher priced clothing is normal. I've tried on a $200,000 ring before, to some people Accessories like that are normal. (i guess not like that, but spending $2,000 on a dress is normal)

Because society teaches women early on that the bulk of our worth is in our appearance and our ability to attract a mate.

because it makes them feel confident and alot of us love putting makeup on in the mornings. with our clothes we like to look pretty and almost all girls like people to comment on what theyre wearing!
