My axolotl is shedding reeally bad. URGENT HELP?
So my axolotl (type of salamander thingy) Is shedding her skin like everyday. I can even see the shape of her feet its gross.!!! Anyway, also her EXTERNAL GILLS are shrinking majorly. They are pretty much stubs of what used to be. Is this normal?? If not whats going on?!?!
Please help!!

Axolotls do shed their skin as do other newts and salamanders. You can usually see the milky white layer that the animal will pull off and then they will eat it.

could be a fungal infection (as these can attack the gills) or it could be morphing (rare case: turns into an adult terrestrial salamander, this is very stressful and reduces lifespan to a couple of years, keep the same as a tiger salamander)
