Well, ME2 and BS2 are both RPGs. BS2 follows a creepy, deep storyline with multiplayer. ME2, however, is a sci-fi story which goes more into the roots of RPGs and also has an excellent story. However, do not buy BS2 if you haven't played the first, although you can read the story online or you can sneakily buy it for 1600 MS points on the games marketplace. ME2 can be played without playing the first, although it would be better to play the first because then you can continue the story with how you left off in the first one. In all, Bioshock is ever-so slightly more combat oriented, but ME2 has more of a storyline and better RPG elements, though without multiplayer.

Don't pick ODST, since Halo: Reach will come out this year and will be vastly superior.

L4D2 is a great co-op game, if you have friends who can play it with you then get it. However, it is very violent and gory (though that makes it more fun to decapitate a zombie with a frying pan), but the gore can be decreased. L4D2 will also offer you a scare, like BS2, but it is not worth playing without friends. Also, it doesn't really have a storyline, but definitely a more fast-paced game. Also, you can get the demo off of the game marketplace too.

In terms of my recommendations, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is coming out May 3 and is an excellent team-oriented, strategic FPS that has wonderful developers and a single player. Or, if you prefer a fast-paced FPS, then MW2 is your choice, though it is buggy and has an action-packed single-player, though the actual plot makes little sense. Fable II also offers an EXCELLENT swords and sorcery story. It is an RPG, and you can also get in the games marketplace. I'd reccommend the platinum edition from the store, though, because it has the DLC for free (also, Fable III is coming out soon). Lastly, GTA IV is a very gritty and mature game, though it does offer a very nice story and gameplay (it has prostitutes, drugs, etc. Don't buy it if parents will be seeing it).

Halo 3 ODST was a huge disappointment.... ok story and no multiplayer.. but the full cost of a game. so no on that..

L4D2 .. the first L4D was great but after seeing this sequel it didn't really impress me and seemed like the same game re skinned with more weapons... more of an expansion that a whole new game.. so.. yeah not worth you $60

Mass Effect 2 another single player game. it's ok but... it's not worth the full $60 dollars you pay for. i would wait for a price drop

Bioshock 2 i would prefer out of all these games.. you may get lost a little if you did not play the 1st one but not too much it kind of fills you in. the single player is pretty good but not as much as the first one.. but still awesome... ALSO! they added multiplayer which you will find amazingly fun. whats cool about bioshock 2 is that they have so many added features it seems like a brand new-well-filling sequel so....

    Bioshock 2

Well, all of those are good choices because of multi-player, just depends on what you want.

Halo 3 is a reg fps, set in the future, with a campaign and a multiplayer. L4D2 is pure pvp multiplayer and is kinda hard tbh... No clue about mass effect 2, and Bioshock is pretty good. You shoot guns, fire super powers, and an kind of interesting storyline. Can be confusing if you havnt played BioS 1

My vote? Go for l4d2 if you're good at fps

From what I heard Mass Effect 2 is the most fun, but L4D2 is better if you want to play for more hours.

Campaign-wise: Halo 2. Multiplayer-wise: ODST, since it comes with a second disc with every Halo 3 map on it, including all the DLC maps.
