Yup, no book value for this car. Even ones ten years newer don't really have a value because they have so many variables.
An '84 Chevette with new tires, brakes, battery, muffler, no leaks, no rust, and otherwise good condition might fetch $2000 from the right person.
One that is run out with bald tires and rust might only be worth a tow to the wrecker.
I would only offer about $1000, which is the typical going rate for a serviceable older car. This is hedging against an engine or tranny blowing up and having to spend another $1000 for the next beater. Miles don't really matter at this point and usually the more the better because that means the car is less likely to have rusted engine innards and bad bearings and tires from sitting.

Mileage is the biggest factor in a running car. You should probably include this. But I believe theres a KBB Classic or something like that.

older cars don't have book value so it really priced on what you will sell it for and what someone would pay for the car. and being a chevette might not be to desirable of a car for some people and might be for others so realy comes down to what you will sell for

try e bay, google, other cars for sale sites - find a comparable one for sale. something to consider - if you are thinking daily use car, parts are hard to find. if you are thinking keep it for an antique, good choice not too many left. â¥âºâ¥
