Can I make thai coconut sticky rice using arborio rice or long grain rice?

I don't have the special thai rice for sticky rice and I am looking for a substitute.

    U might try it with arborio because that rice should have enough starchy texture like the sticky rice, but don't use long grain rice, it's not sticky enough to substitute sticky rice.

    I second Ly; long grain isn't starchy/sticky enough.
