How much food/formula is recommended for an 8 month old baby?

Lately I've been getting some criticism for the way I feed my son. He's 8 months old, growing nicely, and is happy and healthy. In the morning when he wakes he gets an 8oz bottle of formula, then after his morning nap he gets about 8oz of baby food (I feed him until he lets me know he's full), after his lunch and a bath he gets 2oz of juice mixed with 2oz of water, and then an afternoon nap, he wakes and gets another 8oz bottle, and then between 2 and 4 hours later he gets another 8oz bottle just before bed. All together that's about 24oz of formula and around 8oz of baby food.

I know all babies are different and some require more than others so I'm just looking for a general here. This is my first baby and I don't have any mom-friends to help me out. I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. A few people are constantly telling me that I need to be feeding my son baby food 3 times a day but if I did that then he'd never take a bottle and I know he's a little too young for that.

*I also want to add that he's at a healthy weight, growing fine, and doesn't have any health problems.

Can someone help me out?

Update:

The juice is by recommendation of a doctor... to help with constipation.

If he is happy getting that amount of food, then it is fine. The only thing I would change is the juice. There is no need for him to have juice, it is full of sugar. If you must give him juice, squeeze it yourself from fresh fruit or, even better, just give him fresh fruit to eat. He may possibly need a little more water during the day too, just offer a few sips every hour or so.

Your son does not NEED to eat more solid food, at this age he will still be getting all the nutrients he needs from formula.

The only thing that I can tell you is to stop feeding him juice. The only thing in liquid form he should be getting is the formula until he is at least a year old. Otherwise this can lead to some serious problems. It's very unnecessary and to be honest, it simply contains sugar and water. Both are very bad, and the water can be poisonous. I know it sounds weird, but do some research on it... I had to because at first I didn't believe it.

It is fine. I was worried about my daughters weight, so I asked my doctor about it he said feed her whenever she is hungry. All babies eat different amounts. Juice is not good for your baby.
