They do!
And it is the $3 check off amount.
That should be considered a campaign contribution.
So save your $3 and give exactly where you want to give it!

yet, the NRCC (nationwide Republican Congressional Committee) is lifeless broke with basically approximately $2 million to help fianance 1000's of domicile and Senate seat campaigns and the DNCC has approximately $30 million obtainable for an identical component. Howard Dean spent the money that the DNC have been given on his 50 state attitude and with the recent win of three seats interior the domicile that have been traditionally Republican, i could say Dean's attitude is working. additionally, John McCain has raised some million/10th the money that Barack Obama has from private donors. As a registered Republican, i could recommend counting one's eggs in the previous they're hatched.

Directly? Not that I know of, though it wouldn't suprise me if they did.
However, indirectly they get alot. Congressmen have long been know to extort campaign and PAC and party donations by proposing bills in committee or subcommittee that they don't really want, but which are extremely detrimental to a particular industry or group. That group then comes up with lots of money, donated to the right people, and the congressman then let's the bill die in committee. It's extortion, and it's what you get when you let congress have near limitless power over the economy.
Another popular scam is for a congressman to approve a pork program that funnels money to a particular interest, and that interest then takes X% of it and funnels it back to the campaign/party/PAC as donations. Worse, sometimes they'll promise to hire the pol his political career and pay him well above market rates (sometimes for doing nothing) to reward him for his service while in power. This requires trust, but given that these pols have friends in congress who can kill the spending program if the company/group welches, it's a pretty safe bet that they'll keep their word.

No. But there is that fund with the $3 donation on your tax return which goes to Presidential candidates.
