Using redsn0w on an iPod touch firmware 3.1.3?
I can get to the screen where it tells me to put it into recovery mode but after I do nothing happens. I know that is is in recovery mode because when I check it on iTunes it tells me that it is. Any suggestions?

Ok, first things first, do a hard restart. if you dont know how to do so, just hold down the home and power button until it restarts. ALSO if you have already done this with 3.1.3, you cannot do it again, or if you havent recently restored it, you need to.
second, go to the settings app. tap general>about>and look and the model number. if it begins with mb, it sould go ok.
if it is an mb model, go to redsn0w, plug in the ipod, turn it off, and go back to red snow.
you should have already downloaded the 3.1.2 firmware, YES 3.1.2!!!, and that is the firmware you choose. now wait for it to go, and click next, click install cydia, and GET A CUSTOM BOOT LOGO YOU CAN ONLY DO IT ONCE. (plus its really cool ;D)
then just click next for the next ones (if there is any) and then do the dfu mode thing. then it should just go on its own from there.
