The cops in Huntington Beach have nothing better to do than to get you out of the parking lot if you're sleeping in your car.
If you have an RV you can stay overnight on Bolsa Chica State Beach.

An over night paid parking lot? Most lots in L.A. close at night and tow your car.

Sure. You can also get rousted by cops, arrested, and spend the rest of the night in jail.
HB cops don't take kindly to people who try to camp out in their cars.

It depends on if there is security patrol or not. I have slept in the car in Ventura parking, by tthe beach, in the past.
