Would Your Favorite Team?

Give up 1st and 3rd round picks for Miles Austin? The Cowboys didn't put the franchise tag on him today. Of course, Jerry Jones would probably match any deal anyway.

Nope. Not while there are more urgent positions to fill on the 49ers like an OT, OLB, CB, and a Return Specialist. Those are more important needs than a WR and I will take my chances on the continued development of Michael Crabtree and Josh Morgan.

Thumbs up to those who agree.

    Nope we wouldn't do it

Our pick is the 31st in the 1st Round though and we like to build through the Draft since Bill Polian is a Draft genious

also we're set at WR already with Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon, and Austin Collie with Anthony Gonzalez coming back and with Dallas Clark already at TE

there's too many weapons for us, and we don't need another WR. It'd take up too much cap as well

  • I highly doubt it. The Packers already have the wide receiver position well and truly covered. Signing Miles Austin would just be an overload, as much as I would love to have him. Dallas will resign him anyway, there's no need to even play the waiting game.

    No. We have him! lol

But I wouldn't mind seeing Dallas trading Miles Austin, a first round and a third round pick for a player like Larry Fitzgerald.

But I'm happy with Miles Austin. I'm glad he stepped up.

No, we wouldn't. Miles Austin is a terrific talent, no doubt, but the Steelers are set at the WR position, with Ward, Holmes, & Wallace.

  • 1 decade ago

I don't think the Steelers would do it, but Austin would be a good fit since Ward is getting older and could use another good wide out to compliment Holmes.

Of course. The New England Patriots are good with receivers, but when Randy Moss or Wes Welker are hurt, there is not better replacement.

  • 1 decade ago

Possibly. The Raiders need a good wide receiver anyway. Knowing Al Davis, anything is possible.

  • 1 decade ago

No, they have Welker and Moss. Austin only had 1 good year and it wasn't a amazing year, He would be a 3rd at most.

We could do that to make up for Roy Williams. But that wouldn't be any fun. ;)

Actually, if there was ANY position I think Detroit shouldn't worry about, it's WR. Johnson's just that good, and they only need someone who can catch passes on the other side to give CJ some room. Probably some one that comes for less value.

@CC- You mean you have Drew Brees. Do you really think Colston would be any good if Brees wasn't his QB?
