Has anyone used " Founders Club " golf clubs ? I am thinking of buying a set.?
They are very reasonably priced set, as I am a rookie any info would be helpful. I have not heard of that brand before. They are sold at a national golf chain store.

I have tried them out and they are good clubs for the money. They are not as good as a set of Titleists or Taylormades but they are a great set for beginners. Hope this helps.

I am an experienced golfer and I own a new set of Founders Club golf clubs, for the money they are an excellent hitting club, I would recommend these clubs to anyone if you do not want to spend a lot of money for golf clubs, I got an 18 piece set with a nice bag for $249.00.

STOP! and I mean STOP!
If you want a quality set of clubs, DON"T buy from a no-name place. Most likely these are Knock-offs.
For the same amount of money you can go to either Wal-mart/K-mart/Target and get a ready to golf straight out of the box 14 club set in a bag.
BUT....
Golfsmith.com has name brand clubs that are USGA regulation that will allow you to enter Amateur golf tournaments/Handicap Tournaments later down the road if you feel like it. With those "Founders" Clubs you will have to rent from the Clubhouse, a set of USGA Regulated clubs, and lose all confidence.
I love to play golf, and I have always wanted to enter in a Pro-AM, or enter into the AGI (Amateur Golf International) and to do this I needed USGA regulated Clubs.
Now that I have a set of regulated clubs, I can do these things with confidence.
If you want to do said above later down the road, and enter Tournaments or an Amateur leage, go ahead and spend a little more for the USGA regulated clubs.
If you go to golfsmith.com, look under the Pre-owned tab, you will find some amazing deals on all name brands.
I myself just ordered a set of Ping i-3's and just paid $299.00 plus shipping, which came to a total of $326.00. This set is 3-pw.
All I'm saying is to check out Golfsmith.com before you get into a "Warrior" club fiasco.
Anybody that has ever ordered from "Warrior" Golf can testify to that Headache.
I'm not trying to push you away from "Founders Clubs" I'm just trying to get you to lok at other aspects before deciding. It will be you set of clubs, and your decision as to which way you go with it.
Good luck and keep em str8.

Hi,
I have never used a set of Founders Club Irons, my advise to you is speak to a local PGA professional before simply buying a set off the shelf like that.
PGA pros are usually very friendly and helpful and you dont have to be a member of the club where they are based to buy anything from them. Getting advice before a purchase is always the way to go I think.
Good luck with your game, hope u get as much enjoyment as I do.
Regards,
Phil.

Founders club was big back in the early 90's, they disappeared, and now someone has bought the rights to their name, the quality of the clubs isn't as good as it used to be, but it is better than some. If you are looking to buy a set of clubs for not allot of money, they aren't too bad.

Look up the history of "Founders Club" the guy who started the company was instrumental in starting titleist. That being said, the older clubs are of higher quality as opposed to the new ones, since they settled in a small unknown niche of forgiving, easy to hit clubs with a relatively unknown name brand

I haven't heard of them but assume they are a nice starter set. You don't need to spend a lot of money to get started with the game.
