Help- science question!!!!?
In this equation 2HCl+Na2CO3=2NaCl+H2O+CO2, what is the limiting reagent and how do do you find the amount of co2 produced, given that 20ml of 2.0M Hcl is used and 5g of Na2CO3 is used?

moles HCl = 0.020 L x 2.0 M= 0.040
moles Na2CO3 = 5 /106 g/mol=0.047
the ratio between HCl and Na2CO3 is 2 : 1
moles HCl required = 0.047 x 2 =0.094
we have only 0.040 moles of HCl so it is the limiting reactant
moles CO2 = 0.040 /2=0.020
mass CO2 = 0.020 mol x 44 g/mol=0.88 g
