Does Brian Moore's ridiculous bias annoy you as much as it annoys me?

Prime example was in the England V Ireland game today.

A penalty was awarded to England off an Irish scrum. As soon as the whistle was blown, Danny Care threw O'Leary to the ground to get the ball. The touch judge advised that the penalty should be reversed due to Care's unnecessary action of throwing O'Leary to the ground. Completely correct call.

Moore disagrees with the decision, claiming that O'Leary should have given the ball to Care...

Just one of Moore's ridiculous comments from over the years.

Here (in France) it's the same. Sometimes, comments even get me angry. If the commentators and journalists knew better then they should be on the field either as judges or even as players. When I hear them laughing at some players "this one is too old", "this one is too slow", "did you know that this one also takes dance lessons?" too funny, I could throw them things.

i do agree that brian moore is bias, but not in your example. I'm Irish and extremely happy with the result but it was a ridiculous penalty reversal. There are many unwritten rules and procedures in rugby and sometimes you just have to grin and bear them. O'leary was deliberately preventing Care from taking the ball for a quick tap after every peno/free kick. This is something that is encouraged by every underage and professional coach in order to allow your team the time to regroup and set-up defensively. Care was obviously demanding for the ball at every opportunity, but to no avail. In my eyes, he was right to throw O'leary to the ground. How else would he have gained possession, something that is his right. A similar scenario is 'raking' in in a ruck. If you are on the wrong side of a ruck, expect to be hurt. In this situation, the ref will not intervene. Rugby is a contact sport, and should be kept that way.

Well you could say that about every single British (& Irish) Rugby commentator, journalist, spokesman, etc...

Within the waters of the British Isles seems to be a void zone for objectivity in Rugby.

No. Is just makes its funnier when he loses. Same with the British league guys who tell us year after year they have the worlds greatest players, and still they win nothing. Keep going Brian, you are the Man.
