I'm looking to buy a Digital SLR camera for the first time, and the one I am looking at has a 10MP sensor. I already own a 12MP Compact Digital camera. This might be a stupid question, but does this mean that my compact will produce better pictures than the DSLR?

I stopped playing rugby around the end of February and I've noticed that I'm starting to get badly out of shape. My training used to consist of 3 pitch sessions, 2 gym sessions, and 2 lineout sessions a week as well as 1 match a week. Since then, my training has been pretty much nil.

I've noticed that my muscle mass has decreased significantly, and has been replaced by a bit of a belly and general fat. All of this I expected.

If I'm to get back into shape again and build muscle mass back up, will I need to lose the fat first, or can I just go right ahead and start back into the gym with whey protein and creatine supplementation?

I'm heading to India in July, and I'll probably lose weight there. Will I wait until that weight comes off so I have a base to build upon?

Don't get me wrong, both are absolute tragedies, I just can't understand it at all.

Personally, I feel that the 'thumbs-up/thumbs-down' system fails in the Religion & Spirituality section. The reason being, that most answers in this section are based on opinion or personal belief, and so, in this section, there isn't really such a thing as a 'good' or 'bad' answer. As a result, the 'thumb-down' button is more often than not used to hide good answers simply because the content of the answer is not agreed with.

Unfortunately, the answers which seem to be the 'popular' ones in this section are the derogatory answers which are attacking beliefs held by the questioner or other answerers rather than actually offering a decent answer. As a result, questions often end up with the good answers hidden due o low ratings, and pointless, derogatory answers on show with high rating because some people find them mildly amusing.

I suggest an increase in the number of 'thumbs-down' allowed before the question is hidden in this section to around 10, or alternatively, doing away with it all together, as more often than not, in this section, a rating is no reflection on the quality of the answer, but instead on the popularity of the answerers views.

Is it just anabolic steroids that are banned in competitive sports or is anabolic protein banned as well?

I don't currently subscribe to the Sky Sports channels, however, if I could only pay for Sky Sports HD 1 and Sky Sports HD 2 without paying for Sky Sports 1,2,3 and 4, I would think about doing so.

But is this possible? Or do you need to pay for the Sky Sports package in order to be able to pay for the HD Sports channels?

I keep hearing (from Saints fans obviously) that the only reason Dallas won is because the Saints had a lot of injuries and they rested some players. Can anyone tell me exactly who was injured and whether it REALLY had that much of an effect on the final score.

Prime example was in the England V Ireland game today.

A penalty was awarded to England off an Irish scrum. As soon as the whistle was blown, Danny Care threw O'Leary to the ground to get the ball. The touch judge advised that the penalty should be reversed due to Care's unnecessary action of throwing O'Leary to the ground. Completely correct call.

Moore disagrees with the decision, claiming that O'Leary should have given the ball to Care...

"to not exist" is a verb... albeit a negative verb. But how can something that doesn't exist perform an action?

Like "Gary did not run". Gary has to exist in able to "not run".

I know it applies to anything, but I just thought it was interesting in a religious context.

If anyone can explain to me why I am horribly wrong I would be glad to accept it!

OK so I just don't get it.

Why would anyone take offence to someone else asking God to bless them?

To that Christian (hopefully), God is the be all and end all in their life, the most important thing, top dawg. To ask God to bless someone is, from the Christian's point of view, the greatest act of love and kindness they can offer to a person, regardless of their beliefs etc.

So why do I encounter atheists who take offence to this? Not only do they just take offence, but I have encounters many who will retaliate with abuse.

I can only offer my thoughts from a Christian standpoint, but I suppose it applies throughout other religions as well.

Looking for input from everyone, theists, agnostics and atheists; presuming its constructive. Hopefully someone can enlighten me!

My mother has been working at a small shop for seven years now.

She suffers from fibromyalgia, a condition which causes muscular pain and exhaustion and so her working hours are limited. One of my mother's colleagues is a heavy drinker and she is constantly phoning in sick and turning up drunk for work. When she phones in sick, my mother is asked to cover, despite her illness. After a year or so of this, my mother finally spoke out about the fact that her "sick" colleague is clearly taking days off work because she is hungover or wanting to stay home drinking. My mothers boss is completely ignorant to this blatantly obvious fact and the colleague in question denies it profusely and constructs elaborate lies about the severity of her illnesses. The woman has since confessed to lying about her illnesses in a series of threatening texts to my mother and the boss is still being completely ignorant and has called my mother a liar on several occasions, and also stated that "she is lucky to have a job as she is disabled and no one else would employ her" (although my mother is technically disabled, she receives no money from the government). Other colleagues who are aware of the goings-on have seen how my mother has been treated and are now denying any knowledge of the alcohol problems of their work colleague and also of the inappropriate comments of the boss towards my mother about being lucky to have a job as they are scared of losing their jobs in the tough economic climate. Due to this, when my mother cites them in her arguments and they lie and claim to know nothing, it only reduces my mothers credibility.

Can legal action be taken?

Looking to get into Jazz more with my saxophone. Have a tenor, thinking of buying a soprano, so preferably tenor saxophonists as I'm aware soprano isn't too common in Jazz, but if anyone knows any good Jazz Soprano Saxophonists, let me know :-)

I have been playing Clarinet for 8 years and studying for Grade 7. As well as this I starting playing Tenor Saxophone 2 years ago and I would now quite fancy a Sopranino Saxophone. Would I find the Sopranino too difficult to play in terms of the lip strength needed or would my clarinet background help with this?

As far as I can see, the main argument that Atheists have is that there is no proof of a higher-being. However, when they say, "Show me proof?" I often wonder exactly what they are looking for; maybe a photograph of God, or a short film perhaps.

Are they looking for someone to come right out and say, "I have seen God with my very own eyes"; which of course they would simply dismiss as rubbish, as most people would.

Just curious.
