Is it possible to only pay for Sky Sports HD channels without the regular Sky Sports channels?

I don't currently subscribe to the Sky Sports channels, however, if I could only pay for Sky Sports HD 1 and Sky Sports HD 2 without paying for Sky Sports 1,2,3 and 4, I would think about doing so.

But is this possible? Or do you need to pay for the Sky Sports package in order to be able to pay for the HD Sports channels?

    Hi,

You will be able to get Sky Sports 1 and 2 on Freeview from 2nd August as Top Up TV are launching them. With Top Up TV you buy one of their Freeview boxes and then pay a monthly fee for premium content like Sky Sports etc, but you're not tied into a contract.

in case you have a Virgin telephone line you get carry of a 'complimentary' television equipment at no greater suitable fee in any respect. (You get the freeview channels). you are able to then join the "Sky activities equipment". You get ALL of Sky activities, ALL of Setanta and Rangers and Celtic television too. all in favour of £34 a month. Howzat !!
