Will taking creatine and whey protein help me lose weight and get back into shape?

I stopped playing rugby around the end of February and I've noticed that I'm starting to get badly out of shape. My training used to consist of 3 pitch sessions, 2 gym sessions, and 2 lineout sessions a week as well as 1 match a week. Since then, my training has been pretty much nil.

I've noticed that my muscle mass has decreased significantly, and has been replaced by a bit of a belly and general fat. All of this I expected.

If I'm to get back into shape again and build muscle mass back up, will I need to lose the fat first, or can I just go right ahead and start back into the gym with whey protein and creatine supplementation?

I'm heading to India in July, and I'll probably lose weight there. Will I wait until that weight comes off so I have a base to build upon?

Cheers

Update:

Many thanks. Would it be worthwhile starting to build muscle before I go to India since I'm likely to lose a lot of weight, and, if I'm right in what I'm thinking, muscle mass will be the first to waste away?

I'm not certain what you mean by a "base to build upon"? Are you asking whether or not you can build muscle before you've gotten rid of all your fat? The answer is yes; otherwise, nobody larger than a size zero would have any muscles.

I assume when you talk about going to the gym, you're talking about a program of both weight training and cardio. To boil it down to the basics, weight training builds muscle and cardio helps you lose fat. (They actually do both, in addition to a lot of other things, but that's the basic breakdown). You don't generally just start with one and then move on to the other. Creatine and whey protein can help give you the energy you need to do both, can keep you full so that you don't eat a bunch of counterproductive french fries and cheez-its, and help you build up the muscle that you intentionally break down during weight training.

After an 11-13 mile run, 50 mile bike or 3500M+ swim (lengthy artwork out days), i exploit 2 scoops of Isopure, a million banana and 16oz of orange juice so as that i do not shed weight. i exploit it as a fix supplement for staying power preparation. A banana (ninety-one hundred cal), a million serving of Isopure(2 scoops) (220 cal) and 16oz orange juice (220 cal) contains a 540+ calorie "orange julius" and it really is a lot a lot less complicated to practice as a breakfast after a artwork out. Toss all of it right into a blender w/ somewhat ice. This concoction lets you get well faster and prepare extra sturdy and quicker (like that afternoon). promptly ahead sense dictates that except you're burning extra energy than you're taking in, you received't shed weight even with what you eat or drink. in case you're taking Isopure or different supplement (supplementations = further = extra energy) with time-honored nutrients and do not burn it off, you're going to achieve weight very without delay. A unmarried shake is like having a meal in itself. in case you run, bike or swim for ninety minutes and look at burned 1300 energy, you want to come across a short thanks to refuel or you finally end up weaker than once you began--for days. you want to get that into your device quickly -- In shake form, you could eat 540 energy in about 2 minutes and rehydrate mutually. Now, does any of this sound like it must be a good nutrients plan supplement? humorous, the GNC adult men advised me it ought to help me earnings muscle mass.... LOL!
