what is your theory on why an idiot savant is an expert in one field and a complete idiot in all others.?

i often wondered if it is comparative to when a person loses one sense, and their other senses become sharper; of course with the exception that they would not lose one sense and the others become acute, but just the opposite they would lose all but one, not the senses but brain functions the ability to read, write, etc common sense tells me this is logical but the theory bothers me because they are never influence by a teacher they do not learn the way we learn by reading or practicing they seem to know this intuitively. maybe the part of the brain that is genius in an idiot savant can become that much more capable of mastering it's field of expertise, that it is capable of the sixth sense. like we can to this day predict the weather with some degree of accuracy it is done by measuring cold fronts, knowing heat moves to cold and complicated mathematical formulas. though not as complicated as an idiot savant is capable of. he can probably tune into and read others brain waves maybe experts on the subject that he excels in; there for learning from the best of the best all over the world tuning into their brain waves as the brain waves of these experts may be on a higher frequency than most people as are the idiot savants so they learn telepathically

Update:

whatever ...MAZ 1 AZ hey right back at you aren't you judging me?

you know it was not intended that way.if you don't do some reseach.

idot savant is a name given to people who have this handicapp. i'm no way judging them if anything i really admire their abilities. i did not realize the way i phrased the last part of the question.i will edit it thank you for that but it was not intentional by no means i try very hard not to hurt anyone.

btw

i'm deffinately not worried about God judging me for it he knows what was in my heart.

Your content in your descriptive paragraph is a bit unclear, so am I correct in assuming you want to know what causes savant syndrome, or how they get their "savant" ability? ?

Savant syndrom is a result of a cognitive disorder, most heavily seen in autism.

    http://www.psy.dmu.ac.uk/drhiles/Savant%20Syndrome...

Their ability is not psychic, it's a matter of neurological functioning. They don't know something instantaneously, they still need to be shown or taught something in some form - be it just hearing or experiencing an event.

You can watch Tony DeBlois in his profile hear a song and play it back with elaboration through that link above. He has a phenomenal gift, but he's still experiencing education in some, albeit small, form.

The Wisconsin Medical Society has a good article about potential causes and theories:

    http://www.wisconsinmedicalsociety.org/savant_synd...

There is currently no accepted or concrete proven theory on the causes of the savant skill. Also know that many savants are not "complete idiots in all others." A combination of education and therapy can provide the savant with enough knowledge and resources to function well independently. The cognitive disorder in the savant plays a role in their ability to function and comprehend material outside of their gifted skill.

I can't give you a psychological answer, but if you would accept this scripture from the Bible, maybe it will help you understand more without being so judgmental.

    1 Corinthians 1; 27-28. 27. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. 28. And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are;

So if you understand what I've just quoted, then who are you to call any person who is not normal by you or the worlds standards an idiot? The way you judge others, God wil judge you accordingly.

    Science, and a broke brain

It is by definition... otherwise, they'd just be "talented" or an "idiot"
