Apache could not start. No listening sockets adress 0.0.0.0.80?

HELP ME PLEASE...I am fairely smart but, have no idea whats going on with this thing,

When i start netstat it stops after a few seconds...

    If you would like detailed answers the best way to get them would be to give some details about your problem. What operating system are you on. Are you working directly with Apache or through some kind of remote terminal. What commands did you use to start Apache. What kind of changes have you made to your Apache configuration.

    Sounds like you might have something else running on port 80. You don't have IIS turned on do you? Try running this on a command line:

    netstat -no -p tcp

    See if anything is running against port 80.
