Someone left the freezer open a crack the whole night and the ice cream is partially melted...?
Is it still safe to eat the ice cream once it's fully frozen again? Or do I have to throw it out?
I took a look at both cartons and while they don't look like ice cream soup, they look like super super soft serve ice cream.

Ice cream should be fine, Ella.
I would be concerned about any seafood or ground meat that you keep in your freezer, though, as they are more sensitive to contamination from partial thawing. Check to make sure that the seafood and ground meat has remained rock hard, or else throw them out.

Blessings to all. Ice cream do not spoil to easily , as long as it remains in the refrigerator and not out side it's safe to eat like that if you like your ice-cream soft and melted like me, you can freeze it again and it will be fine. It's winter time your ice cream can stay out for a while with out loosing is flavor just like if your power goes out your ice cream will be still safe in your freezer, but it's summer time your refrigerator has to be closed and if your power goes out on you during the summer time and stay off for one days or so you might have to get rid of it and make sure no one in your family eat it because it will make them sick other than that you are good to go. I deal with ice cream a lot, i baby sit and this happens a lot in my house the grand/kids leave the refrigerator door opens or crack most of the time, so i stayed on them about trying to remember to closed the frig door. Nice question i like it. Peace.

They should be okay to re-freeze. Later when they are frozen, look to see how much frost is on top. If there is a lot the ice cream will have lost much of it's good flavor. Then I would throw them away, or give it to your dog if you have one. Most dogs just love ice cream! :D

you're precise to toss the shrimp. Seafood can bypass undesirable speedier than another issues. The beef chops might nonetheless be ok in the event that they have been nonetheless a minimum of as chilly as though that they were in the refrigerator. yet prepare dinner them nicely too. you in all probability would desire to change the seal around the door. And meanwhile do no longer close it no longer uncomplicated considering you realize it does that.

It's still safe.
Partially melted is actually the proper temp to eat cream.
then you re-freeze it.
The only drawback to refreezing ice cream is that it will slightly
alter the texture and crystallize.
Doesn't bother me, crystals or not, I still eat it.

It's perfectly fine, but, if you're worried about it, throw it out anyways.
Better safe than sorry.

If it stayed cold it's safe to eat but probably won't taste very good.

Just to be safe make sure you kill the germs in it by adding a tablespoon of vinegar to each serving
