After opening them up click on DELETE at the top of the email OR place a check mark in the box to the left of the email before opening it and going above and clicking on DELETE. Those are the only options you have.
It is a temporary glitch that...hopefully,, will resolve itself soon.

This is 4 years ago!!!!! It still has not been fixed. I am fed up too of constantly having to reset my password to access my account as it is most often "not recognized"
I am moving to gmail as less hassle.

I follow their directions, but there isn't an edit selection and you can nor deselect the POP button
