where can I go to download a service manual for a 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette?
I know I need to either replace the battery or the alternator so I am looking for a website where I could download a pdf file or something. I would like to find a Haynes or Chilton type diagram that shows how to remove and replace the battery and alternator. Thank you, any info is helpfull....

they're free on autozone.com. Just enter your car's info and click (see repair manual). Or you can buy one for $20 at any auto parts place.

Power wash your engine, then get a free charging system test at AutoZone. BE AWARE that these engines have a cooling system problem that should be dealt with before it escalates, namely the factory coolant eats holes through the intake manifold gaskets, causing over-heating. Find a library with the ALLDATA data base. This is better than any available manual. It lists recalls, and show in detail how to repair each component of your car. You can focus right in on the problem area. It's GREAT!!!

um would suggest buying the paper book most online manuals are only good for one year unless u save them....and then kinda a pain to b working and running back to ur computer every five seconds......also if ur computer crashes u lose manual.....
btw battery u shouldn't need a manual......and as for testing battery /alt parts store can do it wile still in the car to tell u which one u need to replace......
