Your GPA for your Junior year is higher than 2.8 but I am assuming that 2.8 is for the first two years of high school. With that said, you can certainly get up to a 3.3, especially if your AP classes can get you close to 5.0 with an A. You simply need to get your grades at the end of this year to be A or B+ category, which you are basically there already accept for Chemistry, so you definitely need to raise that one. You might consider extra credit, a working group, increase your study habits, or even a tutor, but I don't think you really need a tutor, just focus on the work at hand. Good luck.

your grades seem pretty high, Id focus more in math. You shouldnt have a problem getting into any schools with the AP and Honors courses, I had a 2.7 but two APs and an honors course in my junior year and I got into Drexel. Schools look at AP and Honors courses with low grades better than regular courses with high grades. It shows you make the effort to do better. Also, your SATs make a big impression, if you got 600s or higher in each part you should be fine (dont know what the essay part should be, I took the 1600 SAT). If you can get a 1250+(good essay) you will have no problem whatsoever being accepted anywhere.
Overall, Id shoot for low to mid 90s, that should bring it up to at least a 3.0, but if you want a 3.3 or higher you need mid to high 90s minimum

Do you know what scale your school uses? Is it a 4.33 or a 4.0 scale? Are your AP classes scored on a 5.0 scale?
