Can a red card be overturned?
My father got a red card for apparently starting a fight. We have video proof, however, that he did not start or was involved at all in the fight. What soccer rule can overturn this red card?

If the referee has already called it, it CANNOT be overturned. This is one reason that FIFA is thinking of adding video replay for refs during professional games. For example, that BIG controversial handball by Henry for France to advance into the World Cup, even though half the world saw it, calls are final by the ref and cannot be overturned.
I'm sorry but these things happen all the time. =(

I am a Chelsea fan, but I think even if he hadn't have been sent off Liverpool would have still won the game, we were poor. Sending off was a joke, glad it was overturned but Riley should be relegated to the championship.
