It all depends on what they like to do. Being outdoor people we went to the Smoky Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive. You could go to someplace with a beach, or somewhere to ski. It just depends on what they like to do.

I would recommend an island circuit in French Polynesia that would include at least, Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora!
