I-pod sync problem. Please help. I haven't been able to sync for a long time?

It may be time to restore the Ipod to factory default. That is an option in Itunes. Also you may possibly have a bad/damaged cord. So first check to make sure the Ipod is recognized by the computer. If it is then try restoring it to factory. If not try a different cord.
