In the Psych outs for the episode from Season 4 with Juliet's witness protection ex boyfriend, does anybody know the story behind the 3-hole punch inside joke?

Writer Tim Meltreger was adamant that they say "three hole punch" instead of "three hole puncher" in a previous episode because he felt it was funnier. The cast, as an inside joke, will drop the phrase "three hole punch" into the scene and then start laughing hysterically to prod Tim for what could be seen as a very arbitrary difference.

It's just an in-joke on set because they couldn't decide what was funnier "three hole punch" or "three hole puncher" and it just became a...thing.
