How would you argue with a racist?

Really, you CAN'T argue with racists. They're going to think what they're going to think.

Explain that, as a white person in xyz location, they are only ever exposed to white culture, which is why they have never heard of great black people or art. You could try that position.

play some music or show some art that appeals to the white man, and then reveal the secret that the stuff was actually made by a black man. I personally think that we are equals, I have no problems with any race, I don't understand how people could be racist. Not gonna lie, my fears are spiders, needles, and then the South.

Why would he point out a group of maybe 20 people out of the ENTIRE white race since time immemorial and say they represent the race as a whole. For every Crime and Punishment, there is a Mein Kumpf. As all races have. Good and Bad.

Would the white race kindly take ownership of :Hitler, Stalin, Milosevic, Tito, Mussolini and King Leopold.. What of these white men???? Just as famous. Do whites have superiority when it comes to monstrous deeds????????????? Or is it only the lovely things:)

UM... well, I DON'T argue with true racist people. I DO confront them and ASK why they feel that way, and I do insist that they give RECENT FACTS to prove their point. The last time I asked a guy guy WHY he felt believing being a racist was the right way to be, he COULD NOT back himself up at all. He just got angry and stomped out. He is a racist because it is expected of him by his friends and family to be that way, and I know that. All too often, I find they are TOLD what to believe, so they just do it. It makes their life easy that way.

Oh well, his loss, not mine. I really don't care if people are racists, I just wish they actually had valid CURRENT reasons to be. In my book, ignorance is never a good excuse for anything.

you could also use that argument with women.

the fact is that history isn't the story of man, it's the story according to those who wrote it. the ones who wrote it were in power. the ones in power were white males.

there aren't any famous female inventors, painters, leaders, composers, etc... same with black.

they just didn't get the opportunity to express that way.

it's censorship and oppression, not fact of difference.

Racists do not understand human biology, or they would not be racists. You cannot argue logically against an opinion which is not logical.
