Don't know what to do with my life I'm depressed why should i continue to live life?
well to start off i'm 21 years old, i'm single, i have no job and no income, i still live at home and i have no car, so now you see that's just the start! See how bad it is already?? I have few friends, who i rarely ever see and because i don't have a job i can't make any new one's either. I'm so p***ed off with my life at the moment and i know i'm the only one who can change it, but how??
I seriously feel like a waste of space and if i dissapeared now, no one would even notice. Not having a job is getting me down, but i'm also quite picky when it comes to jobs and i wouldn't be happy in any job because it's not what i want to do. i am aiming to go University next year and hopefully maybe get a good career from something i enjoy doing! but at the moment i feel like i'm wasting my life away. I have no money, no car and still living at home (see waste of space) i feel like i have nothing worth living for, and everything in my life is horrible at the moment. I also have no car and I'm 21, and at 21 i should be driving! I would start my lessons if i had some money, but i haven't got money.
I hate my body image, but i am going gym when i have some money. I sit at home an eat food that my parents have bought, not me!! Because I don't have the money. I go looking for jobs, but i end up giving up because i don't hear anything and this is what i mean by "waste of space!" i'm a drain on society. I have no girlfriend because i'm so f**king shy!! i can't get out of my comfort zone and open up, and actually have the balls to ask girls out that I like! i feel absolutely useless and i have no worth, and i don't know why god put me on this earth for what reason? I'm sick and tired of this s**t life! Please help me?

I'm 23, I lost my job (I had the best job ever and lost it), I had to move back in with my parents (I was almost homeless because even my parents didn't want me), I have no friends, and I'm afraid to go out in public by myself. (I have a personality disorder that makes simple things like getting/keeping a job, making friends, and maintaining a relationship very difficult.)
So really you sound a lot better off than me (but please don't pity me).
I think you need to go out and get any job you can. Yes, you'll be miserable, but you're already miserable so what difference will it make? Then you'll have money and be able to get your license, a car, and go to school. You don't need a gym membership to work out, walk around the block, do sit ups, you can't afford weights so use milk jugs filled with water or something.
The only reason to live that I can think of is experience (love, pain, sorrow, happiness, etc.)
If you don't make anything of it. It won't be anything.
When you actually have something and then lose it, it's so much more meaningful.
So don't start crying before you've even experienced true loss.
Life gets harder, so toughen up.
At times it won't be fun, at times it won't be fair, but making it through that will make you a stronger person and it'll make all the good times and the fun times that much more enjoyable, because you had to work for it, suffer for it.
I wish you the best of luck and if you need someone to talk to, i don't know if you can message someone through here or not but if you can, i'll listen. You may want to seek help from a mental clinic for your depression. I go to one that is income based so since I have no income all my therapist visits, psychiatrist visits, and medication are free. You might want to look into seeing if they have one like that in your area.

hey there don't be so hard on yourself!
you just sound like youre in a bit of a rut.. everyone goes through a frustrating time in their life but beleive me you will look back on this period and it won't seem so bad... you need to occupy yourself, it's great that you wanna work some lazy peopel don't want to, youre goin to the gym too which is great and most importantly you actually WANT to do something about your situation. Use your frustration as your drive. you have a plan with what you want to do and don't worry carrerwise cos ur still young.. im 25 and still no idea what to do LOL. when you get a job and you're at uni you're obviously going to have higher confidence and more slef esteem when you got money so it's gonna be loads easier to meet people and get a girlf. i admire your will to learn to drive and get a job!! and remember things can always be worse.. list all the things you're greatful for in life no matter how small.. n think about what other people don't have. last of all how can you be a waste of space when someone's taken the time out to write you this?! Take care n best of luck!!

Hi! I am so sorry that you are feeling this way! I can understand how you feel because some of my friends felt like this when they experienced tragedy. Through life experiences, I learned that the reason why life is so special is because maybe society is asking you to help. I know it might sound kind of strange, but maybe the world is asking you to help others. I know this because every day, I try to catch the news by watching the major national news networks for a little bit. I have seen society going through a downward spiral because people are losing insight of what is important, and as a result, poor morals and values are being taught to younger generations. My point is that every time I see a news story that is tragic, I know I want to change the world. I want to help humanity and give as much good as possible to the world before I leave this earth. I want to challenge society to change, to stop stereotypes, and most importantly, to teach people how to love and have insight again. I know I can change the world, even if I just make a small impact. I know that there is hope and that if enough people are willing to make the change and see through situations, society will be better. Maybe there will be less violence, crimes, abuse, and other nasty happenings because people know values and gained insight at a younger age. In conclusion, maybe the world is calling out your name! I bet you could change the world too because it seems like you have incredible insight! Life is so beautiful, that some people have trouble recognizing it because of tragedy! Do not let this tragedy bring you down! I believe that you could do great things! Just open your heart and mind, and I promise you that helping others will not only make a difference in the world, but will make you feel better about yourself! P.S. – Have you ever read the book called Tuesdays with Morey by Mitch Albom? You should really consider reading this book because it is so inspirational and would be heartwarming for the soul!

If you die you'll born again to finish what you started! you are only 21 years old and since you are single, you don't have a car and no job life is not worth living?I suggest you to watch some documentary of children starving to death in Africa(3.000 a day!) and you'll appreciate your life!
There is a lot of voluntary needed in UK and abroad, you really need to try doing one(the best one would be going abroad)and I'm sure you'll find a way out and fell being needed!

I don't understand what the problem is. You're planning on going to University, you're planning on going to the gym. Life is what you make of it and, most importantly, life is precious. There are people out there in far worse situations than yourself. People who are terminally ill and suffering. Homeless people. You need to be more positive and good things will happen. If you show confidence in yourself it will shine through to others and they will see you for what i imagine you are. A caring, intelligent individual ready to take on the world.
