Any advice on how to begin a PPO company ?

With over 30 years exp in Military, Peace Officer, my Husband is due to retire soon, and wants to open a PPO company. That's 'Private Patrol Officer'.

I've done a ton of research, know how the company needs to be run. We want a family owned and operated business.

However, I am having a difficult time finding out exactly where to begin with who, what, where, and how much on licenses, permits, certs, bond, etc. I'm in Nevada. Any help is appreciated.

    1. I'm sure that the state, county or city has an office that regulates PPOs. They should be able to help you with what regulations and licenses, etc you need to know, do or have.

    2. I suggest that he contact PPOs in other parts of the state to get advice. Some may be willing to help you as long as you aren't in direct competition.

    3. Contact a local PPO, if there is one, to see if they will hire him for a supervisory position. That will let him learn the business from the inside. That way, when he goes out on his own he won't make beginner mistakes.
