In law, a contract is a binding legal agreement that is enforceable in a court of law or by binding arbitration. The responsibilities would be written out in the the contract, this would be determined by the organization, but whatever it may be, once its signed, they are legally bound to follow it.

  • Both parties have to abide by the explicit (and in certain cases IMPLICIT terms of the agreement. Whatever it says, you are obliged to comply. If either party fails to live up to the terms, the other party may be able to end the contract, sue for damages, or take other measures.

It's all about what it says, and without a solicitor reading the wording, there isn't much more detail we can give you.

The responsibilities and implications are part of the contract and depend on the wording of the particular contract.
