Why is Methane (CH4) replacing CO2 as a culprit for Global Warming?

My past questions have irked these religious global warming believers, environmental holy-rollers, and climate faith healers. Many have given me a links to their chruches, the IOP denomination. This church is committed to the belief that almighty carbon, in whatever form, not unlike like the chritian trinity, is capable of miracles like making you and I warmer.

Memo: Your vast "science" arguments are based on faith (the fact that you dont know!!!). Yet you claim to be devinely inspired by reason. That is not reason, it is faith. Dataless whores!

    It's not, it's the collapse of the magnetosphere. With the weakest links of the magnetosphere being both poles. The sun's radiation gets through at a very rapid rate, causing the northern lights, melts the polar ice caps in doing so.

    It's not the culprit. It's one of the culprits. Methane and chloroflourocarbons are also a major part of the problem, among other substances. To be honest, I don't know why people talk more about carbon dioxide than the others. Carbon dioxide emissions are very high among industries' waste, so I think it's something we have more control over. On the other hand, chloroflourocarbons were practically invented by people, so I guess that theory doesn't work. CFC's were used in refrigeration. They were considered wonderful at first, before people realized they trap heat particles and destroy ozone molecules. They've been banned in many countries, but many third-world countries sell them used. They weren't properly disposed of, as they should have been. The greenhouse effect that causes global warming is a natural occurrence. The issue is, people have sped up the process and made it many times more powerful than it used to be. CO2 is "consumed" by trees during photosynthesis carbon fixation. However, we've cut down vast expanses of trees all over the world. Combine this with the increased CO2 emission levels, and it's easy to see we have a problem. Too much CO2! The same goes for the other substances. People produce mass amounts of them, then neglect to dispose of them or study their effects properly. Don;t take my word for it, do some research! Read articles and websites supporting both sides of the argument, then make a decision. I hope you decide global warming is a true reason for concern. The majority of scientists and science organizations, including NASA, even the United Nations, recognize it as one.

    how nice there now off the co2. now there on methane, there probably After methane now because its also very very common, its ch4 is related to stuff out there like co2, not surpassing we produce methane daily as well as every living thing in life and most things that we operate. we produce methane when we go to the bathroom and when we release gas, same for animals. methane is used in energy production.

    it is a much stronger global warming agent then co2. since a cow will damage the environment more with its 1 day of methane ch4 dumping then a suv does in a year in co2.

    Go ahead and publish a paper that proves those millions of other papers wrong! Not only will you be immortalized in the pantheon of scientists, you might win multiple Nobel Prize (physics, chemistry, peace) at $1 million dollars per prize.

    Conservative quackery won't win any prizes of value.

    {CO2 is plenty to be frightened of, while methane is frosting on the cake. Imagine you are in a Toyota on the highway at 60 miles per hour approaching stopped traffic, and you find that the brake pedal is broken. This is CO2. Then you figure out that the accelerator has also jammed, so that by the time you hit the truck in front of you, you will be going 90 miles per hour instead of 60. This is methane. Is now the time to get worried? No, you should already have been worried by the broken brake pedal. Methane sells newspapers, but it’s not the big story, nor does it look to be a game changer to the big story, which is CO2.}

    Your ignorance is understandable as you can only SPEW the liberal line....THERE IS NO GLOBAL WARMING and this has been PROVEN..it was a liberal HOAX to make money....they now say Climate Change as they were shown to be WRONG as the earth has COOLED over the past 10 years....Methane is affecting the climate because teh liberals keep eating the veggies that make Oxygen...we on the other hand are eating the cows that are producing the methane...so who really cares about the environment?

    Umm, I suppose you saw an article and got very confused. Understandable, but if you did any research into the Global Warming theory you would find out that CO2 is only 1 greenhouse gas out of many.

    Dude, global warming and greenhouse gases ARE miracles, they are the reasons why there is life on Earth.

    Without global warming, Earth would pretty much just be a ball of ice right now.

    Because the permafrost in norther Siberia is melting, along with the methane frozen inside and therefore the methane is being released into the atmosphere.

    Methane and CO2 share some properties. One of those properties is the ability to trap heat and prevent it from escaping back into the atmosphere.

    It has nothing to do with science the fact is CO2 is pretty much involved in every endeavor we do,it is much easier to tax CO2 than Methane which is the real goal.Now that that hasn't panned out they need to deflect attention away.
