Which conflict theorist talks about homelessness?

I am writing an essay for a sociology class and it has to deal with homelessness and how the conflict theory plays into that. I know karl marx talked alot about social inequality but I dont remember him talking about homelessness directly, does anybody know if any conflict theorist talked about the homeless directly?

This first chapter of a sociology of social problems text, (ref 1)uses homelessleness to demonstrate the way that sociologists approach any social policy issue.. In doing this, the author, Leon-Guerrero.(2005) shows how all the perspectives, including conflict theorists -who include both class and gender theorists - approach the topic of homelessless

for an online article using the confict perspetive of asking questions about the broader public factors affecting homelessness in the USA (ref 3)

nb it would probably be more useful to ask who are the conflict theorists who address social policy issues in general - as many of the problems of homelessness are connected to

    - the broader network of social problems, and forms of social marginalisation, and

-the social and politicial economic policies,

-the broader structures at both the local, the national and the global .level

-the cultural values and social constructions of 'homelessness' as a public issue

Because of women's especial 'at risk' status in society the burst of gender analyses in the social policy field since the 1970-80s has been an important development, especially in Europe and in Australia and New Zealand. thus, today, the conflict approaches now tend to draw these several strands, class, gender, ethnicity, citizenship status together to disentangle the web of issues that entrap people into homelessness.

ps confusingly in Australia we have two Peter Saunders each taking opposite positions: one whose focus is on analysing 'the poor' and, the other Peter Saunders, who is influenced more by conflict theory in analysing the broader public issues that put people at risk of being 'the poor' and 'the homeless' .(ref 2)
