Spoilers vs. Wing and the racing...?

I'm very curious how differently the cars will handle with the old spoilers back on them. Do you expect some teams to suddenly start running better with a spoiler? If so, who and why? Similarly do you expect some drivers to start to struggle with the old spoiler? If so, who and why?

Well for starters, the wing was designed to become more aerodynamically fit to the car than the old spoiler. It allows for more rear downforce on the cars, making them stick to the race track. The fans didn't approve of it though, and would've preferred the old spoiler. The wing makes the drafting more efficient by the way the draft goes over and through the car. However, it makes the car harder to drive and in some cases makes the car really tight or really loose. The old spoiler had a lot less rear downforce so the car was looser and didn't stick to the race track as good. It was easier for the drivers, and the fans liked it and the racing. The wing can create problems like what happened today with Brad Keselowski because it enables the car to lift and lose control on contact. Also, the wing is modified for every track, so the teams cannot tweak the setups with it as much when it comes to handling, whereas the old spoiler was adjustable for different race tracks. Expect teams like Hendrick Motorsports and RCR to adjust to it the fastest as well as the other big teams because of their equipment. The smaller teams may have troubles and their results may be different like Martin Truex Jr. I think the spoiler will allow for better competition because Jimmie Johnson will have something new to work with and other drivers could win races. I think Kyle Busch might struggle with it and the other Joe Gibbs teams because they aren't doing so good right now. It will be cool to see the spoiler at Martinsville and how that plays out for the drivers. I was looking at it online and they were saying how it might help drivers like Dale Jr. or Tony Stewart, because they haven't been racing to their full potential. The new spoiler will probably attract viewers and it may just improve ratings, even though a lot of other characters contribute to that. We will see what happens.

Well the taller they are the more downforce and drag. The shorter they are the looser the cars should be. They should be able to take the "yaw" out of the cars and drive them now. It should be better on the tires.

I expect some to start running better but you have to realize that there is a no testing policy so the top teams will come out on top when it's all said and done. Just my guess it should help some crew chief like Jr's crew chief make changes to the car better. They don't have to worry as much about using "yaw" and also the side fins on the existing wing (which were adjustable per drivers' likes and dislikes).

Plus I hope they allow the drivers to choose the height of the rear spoiler to best fit a driver's style instead of regulating the height of the new spoiler.

The cream will still rise to the top. It will just cause less turbulence behind the cars making passing easier. The good drivers will still prevail. The extra downforce will be minimal. This has been stated by drivers like Tony Stewart that have tested the spoiler already. Drivers that suck will continue to suck but we'll see an increase in passing.

They wont be allowed to choose the height Ice. The spoilers will be issued to the teams just like a restrictor plate.

When they first started using the wing, notice how the old drivers started racing better. With the wing the new cars felt more like the old old cars. I thin bringing the spoiler back will give the younger drivers the upper hand again.

Yes, teams will start run better with the spoiler because they look like traditional stock cars. I don't expect to see drivers start to struggle with the old spoiler because the spoiler is alike in every series you see.

It throws the current setups out so it will have an adjustment period just like when they went to the wing/COT.

The best drivers/teams will still be the 1st to adjust and end up at the top just like before though.

they will have to try them to see, if the old spoilers work. if they don't then use the wing.

i think the spoiler will keep them from flipping over.I am sure some will struggle some will not.
