Where can I query why a reported answer has not been removed?

Recently, I found a two questions to be deeply offensive and racially villifying. They were almost identical in content, word for word and had been posted withing minutes of each other by the same user. Because they also had been written with an intent to attract angry responses, I reported them immediately. After some time I noticed that only one of them had been deleted but the other one still remains, gathering responses of other angry users who also offended by the question as well as some other users who have taken the chance to post racially insensetive and offensive answers.

I do not want to question the effectiveness of the reporting process, or the apparent lack of consistency, but this example is not an isolated one.

I do have a dislike of Trolls and racist postings and I have reported a lot of answers that I feel are outside the community guidelines and I am concerned that some of my reports may not have been successful before. How can we find out what our standing is?

You should know that, in the vast majority of cases, there is NO Yahoo! employee who will review your report and decide whether to delete or keep the question (or the answer) you have reported.

It works like this → Once a report is submitted, Community Moderation System automatically measures the reputation of both the reporter(s) and the person being reported. The system then determines whether it can remove the reported item directly from the site based on community input or whether further review is needed.

The more people reports the question/answer, the more likely it will get removed.

Unless you have a trusted reporter status then it will take more than one person reporting to get a Q Or A removed. It is possible you have been the only one to report the Answer in question that remains. But along with yourself someone else reported the one that was removed.

Yahoo uses the multiple report method by more than one member to keep someone who may dislike an individual from having the power to report & remove for personal reasons instead of violations. Trusted reporters earn the status to report & have something removed by Not having reported Q or A 's that get overturned on appeal as non violations.

All you can do is place the reported Q or A on your watch list & check from time to time to see if it has finally been reported enough times by others as well as yourself to be removed*
